Music Scripture doesn't say it be we know those angels were singing at the manger. And music has been the heart of Christmas ever since.

If I'm breaking any forum rules or any rules/laws for that matter, a moderator can delete this posting, but here is a link to my Christmas Story compilation.

Enjoy and let me know what you think. Again, not the best quality, but I like it...

The only numbers I would really like to get are the marching band numbers during the parades. Another nice addition would be the actual movie version of the singing of Go Tell It on the Mountain.

Well, it's still not finished! ...

"Hearts and Flowers"
Music from "Wintermärchen" by Alphons Czibulka
Arranged by Theodore Moses Tobani

If anyone has a copy of this they could share or a point to one I would greatly appreciate it.

I'll have to scour the movie to see where it plays so if you know the scene, let me now. Off the top of my head, I wonder if it is the blind Ralphie scene. I also like to get tunes that sound almost like the movie versions.

I'm also on the trail of the numbers performed by the Revere and Parma HS bands. I'm emailing whoever I can at those institutions.

I'm still trying to score these also...

The Ohio Boychoir - Choirmaster: Alexander Musichuk
The North East Ohio Salvation Army Band - Anita Hunt
The Holy Trinity Baptist Church Ensemble - Phyllis Payden

This is the last push (or so I say!) because I'm readying for final copying.

Any further help is greatly appreciated.

Well I heard from the actual band leader of the Revere HS band at the time of the making of the film and she can't help me. She says that any audio of their performances is in the hands of the production company.

Same for the North East Salvation Army performances.

I did hear from Jim Sentz, the conductor of the Parma HS band at the time and he is going to get me copies of the numbers performed for the movie. It probably won't be the actual tracks, but they'll make nice bonus tracks!

stocking Christmas Story Soundtrack on Rhino

Dave,
This month Rhino issued an official Christmas Story soundtrack.
It contains all of the score music, including some segments which were originally hidden under the dialog.

I downloaded your version and noticed that you have some tracks that are missing from the score.

You might consider combining the two together for an Ultimate Christmas Story soundtrack.

- Steve

I thought about it, but I'm just keeping the two separate for now - a two record set if you will.

Maybe if I think about it during the year. I'll meld them together.

I just burned the final copies for my collection last night. Though they miss some desired pieces, I'm still happy with it.

THANKS TO ALL WHO CONTRIBUTED TO MY QUEST FOR THIS PERSONAL VERSION!

I WISH YOU ALL A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HOLIDAY SEASON!!!!!

PS: Don't consider this thread closed just yet...

Just a little side note - The Ohio Boychoir, which performed Deck The Halls during the Christmas parade, is disbanding after 35 years. Falling membership and finances did them in.

I did a google search for A Christmas Story Soundtrack and I came up with a song called Pinch Me by Sterling Young and his Orchestra then I went to tradebit.com typed in the info and played a snippet it sounds like that may be it.
I probably should have gone through more of the posts sorry if you already had this info.
