I made peanut butter fudge today

This is the recipe I used...

Easy Peanut Butter Fudge

1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 tsp vanilla

In a pot, bring sugar and water to a boil. Let the mixtures boil for EXACTLY one minute.
In a bowl, have the peanut butter and vanilla measured out and ready.
Pour the sugar and water into the bowl when ready, and mix well. Pour into 8x8 in greased pan.
Let cool, and enjoy!

Some notes: Don't use the natural peanut butter. I tried using Adam's Natural once and it didn't work.
You have to use the creamy peanut butter like Skippy.
Once you pour the sugar and water into the bowl with the peanut butter and vanilla,
it'll start to harden up, so work quickly.

It hardens up fast.

One thing I did do, I boiled it longer than one minute. I boiled it more like 4-5 minutes. I just didn't think 1 minute would be long enough.
It turned out pretty good.
So if you get invited to a party or something during Thanksgiving/Christmas, make this recipe. It's easy and delish!!

I love peanut butter fudge.

When I still lived at home with my dad I attempted to make some and it was SO runny that even after setting in the fridge for a long time it still slid right off the plate

My dad was upset because I wasted an entire jar of peanut butter and sugar too.

Have never tried again since . Don't know what happened.

Have you ever made it and put walnut's in it?

I like peanut butter better than chocolate fudge any day.

I can understand why your dad was a bit frustrated!! hehehe

Take heart! This only calls for one cup!!
Hope you try it again!!

I too prefer peanut butter over chocolate. I like butterscotch too.
I DO think however, that a little chocolate drizzled over the top of the pb fudge would be great!!
