My Dog Sam
Dear Abby, I too was picked on when I was a child and I too turned to our dog Queenie. She always gave me love and she always listened. Bless you.
ladies - do you have girl's night's out or do you just go out with your partners/husbands?
gentlemen - do you have guy's night's out or do you just take your partner/wife out to dinner and stuff?
me and my partner go to dinner and a movie about once a month, we also attend famly parties and stuff together. on the odd occasion we might go to the pub for a couple of drinks, but the majority of the time we stay at home with a takeaway and a dvd.
i see my friends for dinner and a movie about once a month, every other month i will pop to their house for the night and get a pizza and a bottle of wine and on birthdays we all go out clubbing together. through the week i spend time with my cousin, shopping, going for a coffee etc... but for a 23 year old girl, i don't socialise that much. some of my friends are out clubbing every weekend. i am too busy trying to get my career off the ground, so socialising has to take a back seat until then (apart from christmas of course, i am quite the social butterfly over the holidays!)
I'm not a big socializer. I occasionally will go out with a group of other moms from school for lunch, but by the end of the meal, I wonder why I came, it kind of turns in to a complaining match. Complaining about the kids, the husband, the mother in law, the teachers - not interested. My husband travels a lot and is gone for weeks at a time. So when he is home, he prefers to just stay at home with me and our kids. Our weekends are similar to yours, we will get some take out for dinner and rent a movie or two.
I ve never been a big clubber...been to a club maybe 4 times of 6 times in my life...tho I´m big on dancing...the clubway...before my daughter was born I was in a Tennisclub....We would be partying there every week....so I was socialising a lot with my teammates and clubmembers....that was quite fresh...added to that I hung around a lot with my best friend, her boyfriend and her sister...so I had a good balance of going out and staying home at somebody´s places.
these days we are mostly home with our daughter....we go out to the parks, later during christmas time to the Weihnachtsmarkt, to the city and all that stuff...but we don´t really go out eatng....only have some McDonald´s once every months or some turkish Kebab...the last time I´ve been to a movie was early last year....
I love to socialize, but don´t have the money to go out eating and to the movies a lot these days...
but today...we bought some tortilla chips and cheese dip...the popcorn and chocolate and deep-frozen pizza american style....and have a nice evening...might sound funny to some...but for us...that´s luxury....
I live in a house of nine people. Everything is social here. But other than my weekly dates with my wife -- which frequently involved grocery shopping, of all things -- I don't socialize at all. Bar the door and tell the world to leave me alone! I travel too much and work too hard for much else. Alot of my socializing happens right here.
Well back in the day....*L* I used to club and party with the best of them. Now that I am a mother I am more of a homebody. Once in a blue moon I go out with the girls. Usually when it's hunting season and I become a hunters widow...for a weekend. But s/o and I usually do a date night a few times or so a month. We will go hunting together, go to the hot springs, go for a drive, rent a room at a hotel, go out and have dinner and sometimes just stay at home and make a nice dinner like steak or seafood, have a few cocktails that sort of thing.
My boyfriend and I go out and do something on the weekend .Usually we go to a few yard sale's or the flea market . Yes,he loves them both as much as I do. We also go out to eat on and off .Usually once a week.Just depends on the money situation.
Sometimes we go to a NASCAR race ,but again money is often and issue these day's.
When we do go to sale's we do it early so we're back home in time for NASCAR race's on tv that we both enjoy watching .
Neither of us drink so we don't do the bar thing. We don't have other couple's that we do thing's with.
We don't really do anything through the week,as he is too tired after getting off work.
Basically the same as Jeff... I would rather spend my time at home We dont go out much.. if we do its to lunch and shopping.. but grocery shopping is a date for us too HAHA!
We do a lot together as a family.. hunting, BBQ's, ect ect
