My Dog Sam
Dear Abby, I too was picked on when I was a child and I too turned to our dog Queenie. She always gave me love and she always listened. Bless you.
Tomorrow, my son Bruce and I will be going to Stirling University for its open day. His plan is to start there in September and train to be an elementary school teacher, specialising in modern languages.
Where did my 3 year old go?? I'm pretty sure it was only yesterday!!!!!
I was pretty much talking to my almost 20 year old son about this very thing earlier today. He didn't realize that it was already October ,as he asked why people were already setting up for Halloween as it was still a month away. And I told him that THIS month IS October.I told him that this year has flew by and that's the way it seems to go after you get out of school.I said when your in school the year's crawl by ,but once your out ,they fly . One day it's January then it's December.January then December.Your birthday's fly by faster and faster .
I can't believe my 6'8" baby boy will be 20 come March. That he is out of high school,is driving and has a job. Can't believe that my daughter will be 23 in December and that she lives so far from home (Tulsa,Oklahoma ) It seems that only yesterday they were born.
Sorry! I think the thing that gets me is that I don't like kids. Never have. Still don't!!! Was an absolutely dreadful babysitter; kept falling asleep. Then I had Bruce and would cheerfully kill dragons for him (although they're far more fun to play with) I would move mountains for this child (or whatever they are called at 17 3/4) Maybe because his dad decided life was better with a 23 year old when Bruce was 18 months old. I don't know - He is the centre of my world and I'd walk on water for him
Just don't tell him that - I'd hate for him to take advantage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well as most of you may already know I have one daughter. And I agree with everyone. They grow up so quickly and the time does fly by so fast. Seems like yesterday I took her to school for her first day of kindergarten and now she is already in the 2nd grade. I cried that first day I had taken her to her first day of school. I can't imagine what it will be like when she graduates from High School or even College. Cherish the time and the moments you have now. =)
