Christmas TogetherWe're here year round and even though we are scattered all over the world and most of us have never met face-to-face we find ways to celebrate the season together. From our annual Christmas exchanges to scheduled chats our Christmasing together is discussed here.

My Dog Sam
Dear Abby, I too was picked on when I was a child and I too turned to our dog Queenie. She always gave me love and she always listened. Bless you.
We all love Christmas, and we love coming here all throughout the year to talk about it. Heres the question, do you think a website dedicated to halloween & thanksgiving would do as well as MMC and other Christmas websites?
* I am not suggesting we start other websites, however, if you want to more power to you.
Merry Christmas & God Bless,
Casey D. Bell
I would imagine a website dedicated to Halloween would fare pretty well because I know several people who feel about Halloween the way we feel about Christmas. Thanksgiving...I'm not too sure about that one, I've never met anyone completely dedicated to the fun of Turkey Day but who knows.
I too think that a Halloween forum would do well, but don't feel the same about one for Thanksgiving.
I feel the reason that Halloween would fare so well is because there is much to talk about ...costume's,number of trick or treater's,favorite candy, candy you gave out, best costume ,Halloween parties, maze's,hayride's,haunted house's,how you decorated,etc...
Thanksgiving would mainly be sharing recipe's and that would be the just of it.
I agree with Ms Speedy Elf, Halloween would do ok but Thanksgiving, no.
Halloween most likely would do well but when it comes to Thanksgiving, some people just don't get how important the Holiday is and plus the medie has done all it can to bash the Holiday.
Just look in the stores now. Tons of Halloweeen decorations but very few Thanksgiving items, if any.
Caseydbell - what a thought-provoing question. Thank you.
Personally, I love Halloween and Thanksgiving as a big part of the Christmas build-up! I know any of us can start threads, and I don't know why I haven't started a thread about one of them. Maybe I think I'm too "new" here.
I would not go to another board about either of these holidays, much as I love them.
I think Halloween would do good but I dont think it would do as good as a Christmas site. I dont know many people that "hate" Christmas.. some people arent as crazy about it as others but most people do enjoy Christmas to some extent. With Halloween it seems like most people I know either love it or hate it and dont decorate or do anything at all for it. As for Thanksgiving I think its too close to Christmas ... and a lot of people look at Thanksgiving as the beginning of Christmas and sometimes thats why they enjoy Thanksgiving so much. Just my opinion
We have a fledgling Halloween site we've started -- RealHalloween.com -- and we're working on RealThanksgiving.com. But forums? Nope, they'd likely not work out. We'll see how the blogs do and if the interest is there we'll look into forums. Trust me on this -- this forum, while busy now, gets lonely in, say, May. I'm only looking at developing the other holiday sites to build up places for us to go year round.
