Going away before or after Christmas?

Hey everyone

Im going to Stockholm (Sweden) with a friend on the 26th of November to the 10th of December, Im going to see the christmas Markets all over the city, apparently they have 7 major ones in total.
It will get me very much in the christmas spirit, I will be buying all the local sweets and treats and drinks and also may pick up some gifts for my family and friends too while im there, Plus the average temprature over there at that time is -2 degrees and they have an average of 2-3 hours of sunlight a day so its going to be very cosy! cant wait!

I was just wondering if you guys were going away just before or just after christmas? If so where are you off too on your christmas travels?

Have a wonderful time.

We are staying home for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Don't like to travel on snowy, icy roads unless we have no choice.

Oooh do have fun and stay nice and cozy warm .

I don't think that I could tolerate -2 degree temp's and so little sunshine.

We stay home for Thanksgiving and Christmas the majority of the time . We did go to my b/f's brother's house for Thanksgiving one year .He lives in Lehigh Acres,Florida and one year we went to my dad's for Christmas in Indiana .

Besides local traveling to family and friends houses we are staying home. I went to Hawaii once in Dec. from the 6th 'til the 20th and as nice as Hawaii is it totally ruined my Christmas. I totally missed the build up to Christmas by being there and not in my own home. It's the first and only time my tree wasn't up at Thanksgiving or slightly there after. I didn't put it up that year until the 21st. It's weird to me to be at the beach and hear I'm dreaming of a white christmas playing on the radio! Enjoy yourself and stay warm!

I hope you have a wonderful time. I don't think I could deal with the darkness so much myself. The coldness yes..although I don't care for the cold but can and have dealt with it. But it would be awesome to someday go to Sweden. Keep us posted on all your new goodies you buy.

have lots of fun over there....the winter darkness is funny...I wouldn´t want to live in it...but a visit over a two weeks....would be alright for me....especially during Christmas....Darkness means....christmas lights...

Oh, that sounds like fun!

We aren't doing anything spectacular because, with Dh's temp status at work he doesn't get any vacation time off, but we are planning a weekend away in December. We're going to a town about an hour away and spend the weekend in a nice hotel and enjoy the cities festival of lights and just generally pamper ourselves for the weekend.

That sounds great Franco.

No travelling here though, however I would love to go to one of the Christmas Markets in Bath.
