Im going to shop and get some stuff to bake this weekend. I will see if my daughter and youngest son want to help too, they usually like to. My oldest son has to finish his science project, so this will keep the other two away for awhile!

Looks like I'm starting early!

The boyfriend just called and said that they are having their Thanksgiving potluck tomorrow and could we make a ton of chocolate espresso snowcap cookies. hah hah.

I guess it's going to be a cookie baking evening for us!

Well this is my first year that I am going to actually try baking!

I will start pretty soon once Christmas gets closer. I think I will do a few things the week of Thanksgiving!

Somehow I survived our cookie baking last night with only two cookies eaten!

It's a record for me actually...only eating two cookies while baking!

I baked last weekend my first mince pies. Tomorrow i am going to make gingerbreads and mince pies. Although my husband eats most of the gingerbreadpaste, so i have to make more gingerbreads closer Christmas. And those mince pies will be eaten before next weekend. :P

But after our independence day (6th december) i start to bake for Christmas. (some breads and cakes for gifts etc.)

I usually start baking two weeks before christmas and try to do a different batch every day. This year I want to try to make up the dough before hand and freeze then i can just cut and bake. The freezer is usually to full to do that though. I try to make all of my candy the weekend before christmas.
