It's interesting how people view other countries' Christmasses as better in some way... I've always wanted a Christmas in America, everything seems so much bigger and brighter over there... but maybe it's because I come from such a small town and tiny family that I find myself wondering what it must be like tobe in a room crowded with family instead of just me and parents, and to be in America where the decorations are often bigger and more extreme (though having said that, my neighbour... sigh)

British Christmasses are generally nice though. What sort of traditions do you try to introduce in particular?

It aint matter how old you get or if you get married or not-you will always wana spend xmas with your parents/family. Thats why so many familys get together just for xmas (sadly its the only time familys get together). Though can be a be hard working out when you have a partner and then you have to arrange it so everyones happy.

I too still goto my mams every xmas day and always will, have many, many great memories of being at my mams house (the house i grew up in). Though i now just live around the corner so see here all the time.

Personaly i think your childhood at christmas time playes a big part for whether you love christmas when you an adult (grown up child). Sadly there are some who just dont celebrate christmas (or the season) untill a few days before and even then it's no big fuss. Others see it as a big expense and moan-rubish, money has no bearing on making christmas special-just use your imagination.

Cheers

J

I would love a Christmas in which all around the world not a single person would die because of war. Everyone would lay down their weapons and there would truly be peace on earth.

I do it every year. I spend Christmas with my husband and two children. Now, if I could, I'd love my mom to be a part of it all.

I'd have to go for Santa (and Mrs Santa and Ernest Elf of course!). Fill them up on eggnog and mince pies and then ask for any tricks of the trade
