Going to lunch

S/O and I will be joining our daughter for lunch at school. And she will be even more thrilled when she realizes her dad has also come along. At the beginning of this month she got a lunch calender and she always looks it over and circles the days she wants to eat at school. She asked if I would like to pick a day to join her. So I did and todays the day. This should be interesting. I haven't ate a school lunch in years. Should be yummy thou....they will be serving Turkey Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, Fruit. Dinner Roll and Milk. Will let you know how it all went.

Have fun!

My daughter's school has a "Parent Visitation Day" every March, where parents get to come and sit in on the classes, eat lunch, go to recess etc. It's really fun. I've taken a math test, did a spelling bee, practices penmanship (which I can use!)

How did it go? I was thinking about going to lunch one day soon with my youngest boy. I went when my other 2 were in elementary.

It went great....we really enjoyed it and d/d couldn't stop smiling. She was really happy that her dad could make it. I stood by the door he was around the corner to surprise her. I will have to do this again. The lunch was good...although I could have used a little salt and pepper.

Glad you had a good time! My husband and I ate Thanksgiving lunch with our sons at school yesterday. They are in Kindergarten and 1st grade, so their lunch hours are close in time. They were thrilled! And the food really wasn't all that bad!

That's so cool. I plan to go again. It was fun. And daughter just loved having us there. Plus for 2.80 per person where else can you get lunch for that. *L* Glad you had a nice time too.

It's so special for the kids to have their parents at school with them. I always loved
seeing their little faces light up when Mom or Dad walked in the room. (I did a lot of volunteer work in the schools)

I also can remember having my Mom come to my school recitals in the afternoon. I can still see her standing there in her waitress uniform (she always managed to get time off to come and see me then go back to work). It made me feel good.
