... LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS POSSIBLE THIS LATE TONIGHT AND FRIDAY MORNING ACROSS SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA... THE MOUNTAINS OF NORTHEAST TENNESSEE... AND THE SMOKY MOUNTAINS...
A TROUGH IN THE UPPER LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHERE WILL MOVE OVER THE AREA TONIGHT INTO EARLY FRIDAY... ALONG WITH A SURGE OF COLDER AIR... BRINGING SNOW SHOWERS AND FLURRIES TO THE AREA.

Sounds like you live in a place like I do .The snow OR rain goes all around you . Almost like your under an invisible shield.

The rain part I don't mind so much ,but I get sad when we get left out when it comes to snow.

I'm pretty excited at the remote possibility that I will even see snow, much less have it accumulate.

Here in MI it has been snowing on and off for about 2 weeks. Couple times you had to brush your car off and it stuck to the grass. It however did not stick to the streets or the side walk.

Oh by the way for people who don't already know I absolutely abhor snow.

Yeah, the CrossKnox 15K that is here in town.

It starts at 8:30 in the morning and every stinking time I listen to the news they say that Friday night's low has gotten lower.

First 27, then 24, then 21, now 19.

I don't even know how to dress to run for an hour and half in 19 degree weather!
