This is really sad. No sale is worth that. This is the reason I don't go out shopping on Black Friday. If I'm meant to have it I will but, I'm not going to get trampled to death trying to save a few bucks on something that I probably don't need to buy anyway! It seems to always happen at a Wal-Mart too. There was one year that a bunch of women had to be taken to the hospital with concussions because a huge crowd knocked down a pile of dvd boxes onto their heads! Craziness! This poor guy was just there to earn a paycheck.

The stores are encouraging this kind of behavior by opening early for the bargains - which only last until they are all gone. The stores could provide security -- and let people in by numbers. But that would cost the stores money.
