I had a SNOW DAY yesterday!

My kid's schools were closed yesterday due to snow! We got about 11 inches all total, and expecting more tomorrow, Friday and all weekend, I believe. We may be in for another record year. Well, I've still got a couple of vacation days left, or I think I feel a cold (cough, cough, sniff, sniff) coming on, .

Anyway, it was a great day. After getting up at 5:30 and verifying schools were closed, I went back to bed, and since hubby still went to work, the dog jumped in bed with me and we snuggled/slept until almost 9:00! My daughter got us up, and I made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. Then she insisted that I get her presents wrapped up, so she locked herself in her room while I wrapped and got them under the tree. Then she helped me wrap up the rest of the presents and we got those under the tree too. Then we baked about 12 dozen Christmas cookies. When you have 3 teenage boys (not to mention their friends), believe me, that won't go very far either! And I got my Christmas letters folded and in the envelopes, I just have to get stamps today and I can mail them out. So all in all, it was a pretty darn nice day! I really needed it too, after all the stresses that I've been having lately.

Hi there from Missouri and Caroling. We had a snow day today and school was cancelled too. I work for the school district and feel it's always nice to have an extra day off before the holidays. I hope you enjoyed your day too. Wonmder where you live. I live in Grain Valley, Missouri.

That is so awesome to hear ! It got up to 67 here yesterday ,hard to believe that this past Saturday it was 38 for the high and we had a light snow ourselves .

Today it is raining and going up to 57 ,but windy !!!!!!!

It's so nice to hear that you had a wonderful day . Knowing what you and your family have been going through you more than deserve it (Hugs)

Thats too funny about your daughter locking herself in her room while you wrapped her present's .
