present Christmas Eve Movie Marathon Countdown

Are there any particular movies that you watch every year on Christmas Eve no matter what (even if you have watched then all through the year as well)

Well I was thinking at work today (it does make the day go a lot quicker) what movies would you have in your countdown list to watch on Christmas Eve.

I also thought it would be fun to add a maximum time limit other wise it could turn into a 24 hour marathon (which would not be too bad but Santa has a job to do)

so I figured a top 10 movie countdown would be fun as I am sure one or 2 favourites will have to be watched on another day also there is nothing to stop you adding any TV specials or cartoons but the list has to be no more than 10, and films with sequels; Santa Caluse, Home Alone etc do not count as one film.

so my 10 on Christmas Eve would be

10.Garfield Christmas Special
9. Quincys Quest
8. Jingle all the Way
7. (Raymond Briggs) Father Christmas
6. The Santa Clause
5. Miricale on 34th Street (Richard Attenborough)
4. The Snowman
3. Christmas Story
2. Scrooge (1951 w Alistar Sim)
1. Polar Express

That's probably the only night I don't watch one during the season because I am the one who creates the magic around here at Christmas and thus BUSY! But, my daughter who is now 27, watches "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street" every Christmas Eve without fail. And as a matter of fact, her husband proposed to her just after she finished watching it in 2005. Yup, dropped to one knee as the credits rolled!

Generally don't watch movies on Christmas Eve, too busy with family. If I were going to watch, it would be (in no particular order):

Charlie Brown, Rudolph, It's a Wonderful Life, Frosty, Christmas Vacation, Christmas Story, Christmas Carol and so on....
