I have seen both movies. Both movies are nice, happy movies .I would gladly see either movie again at any time. I realize this is not very critical.

But nice all the same, SparkleNana! I watched While You Were Sleeping. Usually watch it as a romantic comedy but this time I found deeper meaning to it. For example, heroism comes in many forms from the not so obvious of giving up your seat on the train to the obvious of saving someone's life.
I did take exception to one comment that was made. It was by Lucy's boss when he said that you are "born into a family; you do not join them like you do the Marines". He didn't leave room for the family that your friends make - which is such a big part of one's life!!

I haven't gotten around to watching...While You were Sleeping but if we get a snow day this week...I'll try to pop it in because we do have a copy of it.

However Frosty is one of my all time Faves....I remember BEFORE we had VCRs and couldn't tape things...we would always watch the TV schedule to see when Frosty and Rudolph came on...if they were on a night of the school play or something like that...the kids would be SOOOO disappointed. Wow can't believe how times have changed!

I like the "magic" of Frosty...the good heartedness of the character and the warm message of friendship!

I agree with Meceka on the family quote, some friends are closer than a "blood relative" for some, I know that it is true for me. "Judging a book by its' cover" was an obvious part of the movie, I know; but it is our nature to pursue what is pleasing to the eye and sometimes eye candy is just too much trouble!! I loved the happy ending, where she got a good man and a good family to go along with him...a perfect ending.

star I raided my daughters movie cupboard

and watched "While you were sleeping"

I like the movie, it really shows how one misunderstanding can lead to big problems, especially when you are more afraid of hurting feelings than letting the truth be known.
Her heart was in the right place. I think as she did not want to upset the family more than they already where.

The effort she had to make to maintain the lie became harder and harder for her.
It was so difficult for her, not having a family herself, but she knew she could not continue on in this lie. I was glad to find out she found love and happiness anyway in the same family, who all accepted and forgave her.
I love a happy ending!

Frosty is one of my favs as well. We used to do the same thing--checking the TV guide every year to see when Frosty and Rudolph would be on. I have it on video tape and now when I watch it with my kids or alone, I just get this overwhelming feeling of nostalgia. It's like being a kid all over again! I enjoyed Rudolph day today. Didn't get any Christmas related tasks done, as it was a very busy day. But I listened to Christmas music in the car--my 6 and 7 year old sons loved it--and I enjoyed watching Frosty!

I've watched "While you were sleeping" countless times. It just happened to be on TV a few days ago so I got a "refreshing" of my memory though I only watched the first part and now I realize I can't remember what happened to Peter in the end ? He didn't stay with Ashley, did he ?

I think the part of Ashley was a bit over-acted. Obviously you're not meant to like her but her voice was so loud and her being a ***** didn't seem to come "naturally".

Don't you just love the warmth of that family ???? They never heard of Lucy before but just open their arms and enclose her in their family. That certainly wouldn't happen in my family !!! In my family they would first have to find out if she came from a "good" family, a proper background, good schooling etc etc.... my parents would probably prefer the Ashley type as a wife for their son .

I love movies like this one and can watch it again and again !
