tree Who decorates the tree?

In your famliy is there single person that decorates the main tree or is it a family activity?

In my family my husband always has left me do the tree. He enjoys seeing my creation when it's done and I'm so grateful that he allows me to have my special decorating the tree all to myself.

Now when our kids were small of course they helped but I always had to re-arrange when they went to bed. Then when they became teens, they really didn't care but good seed was planted in our daughters, they do beautiful trees for their families.

Now I make sure my tree is up and decorated before any of the granchildren visit. I do make rolled sugar cookies with them and they love to decorate the cookies but the tree is mine all mine. LOL.

So who is the tree decorater in your family?

Nobody and I mean nobody is allowed to help me with my tree! I'm very picky about it and I do it a certain way so I don't let anyone do it. Not the lights, not the branches when they are getting put on the tree, nothing!
When we were kids my parents used to let us put some stuff on then the older I got it just sort of became my job to do it. After that my brother didn't want my mom to do any decorating, he just wanted it to be me even when he was an adult he was like that. He moved to Florida and I still lived at home so he'd call me and make sure I did all the decorating. My mom doesn't do her tree, I do it and my brother calls me to do his tree as well. So, I'm the tree decorator for my entire family!

My husband is too much of a clutz to decorate, last year he knocked over the tree I put up in the gameroom which has all of his ornaments on it! So, he's off limits!

Which Tree??? LOL!

The kids decorate their tree in their bedroom.

Hubby decorates the tree in the family room - that is his sports themed tree.

I decorate the tree in our bedroom and the dinning room tree.

The main tree which is in the living room - Everyone helps to decorate.

Oh it's my wife for sure (with minimal help and suggestions from the rest of us)... but all the kids have a small one of their own that they do.

My hubby usually helps me set up the tree and lights. The grandkids and I usually decorate the tree. I keep the breakable ornaments separate from the others and let them decorate the bottom part of tree (that's all they can reach, lol). I take all the breakables and hang them up high. I do have to rearrange some after they leave.

Same as Joyful --- my husband leaves any decorating to me. He always likes the results! He does have his likes and dislikes (e.g., he prefers a mix of white and multicolor lights), but our tastes are pretty much the same, so no problems.
