Imagine what will happen if the stores are allowed to stay open all night Christmas Eve until lunch time on Christmas Day! This year, more than 50,000 restaurants, bars, convenience stores and...
My Dog Sam
Dear Abby, I too was picked on when I was a child and I too turned to our dog Queenie. She always gave me love and she always listened. Bless you.
Here we are a week before Thanksgiving (U.S.) and the all Christmas commercial radio station count is pushing 100!
By Thanksgiving the list will have exploded with dozens and dozens more. By then, keeping up with and checking each listed station’s web page will be even more time consuming for one person to handle than now. Therefore, as in years past, I will taper off with posting these commercial radio stations in favor of searching for more diverse Christmas programming such as found on public radio.
By all means, anyone may still research and post here as often as one wants! We still need reports from other countries as well.
In the coming week, I expect that more public radio stations will be posting their schedules online. The link for finding a station near you is buried back a few pages so here it is again.
Most public radio stations have become too liberal and/or sophisticated to mention Christmas so find a station and type Holidays 2009 in the search window. Thankfully, most of the content you will find will still be in the form of a Christmas celebration without regard to offending some listeners.
If you are not content with the same one hundred Christmas tunes over and over all season, this is your escape…for now. As you find schedules post them and a link here.
There is one item of public radio interest that has totally bummed me out ever since I discovered it about a month ago. One of my top five all time favorite radio shows will not air a Christmas show this year. After a little over a decade, for the first time ever, ‘American Routes’ will totally skip Christmas. AR will instead air the “2009 National Heritage Fellowship Concert & Celebration” live from the Nation’s Capitol. I think some (hopefully most) of you will get the idea here. You’ll find links to AR’s legendary Christmas shows from previous years in the archived Christmas audio thread.
I’m still waiting for a reply from AR to my e-mail questioning the lack of a Christmas show this year. Until now, I’ve always received a prompt, courteous reply to any comment or question that I have posed.
Our local radio is protesting against a City who can´t put the lights on the street because money is missing. They will play Christmas music none stop till somebody says he can pay for the lights.
Sooo great. Christmas music everywhere

That’s exactly what we are looking for in the music room here:
I would love to be able to listen to German Christmas tunes! Find the station web link and post it in the above thread. Hopefully they offer an online stream as well! If you would, translate at least the part that contains the listen link if there is one!
KOST is giving joining in with Disneyland with a “Kick-off the Holidays Party at Disneyland.” (Disney won’t say “Christmas” either for fear of offending.) KOST is giving away entrance/resort stays to the big event that goes out of its way to not mention Christmas.
