I really wish there was a station that played something other than classic Christmas music or Christmas pop. I would like non-stop classical Christmas music mixed with things like Canadian Brass, Chanticleer, Kings Singers, music box Christmas music, hammered dulcimer, Celtic harp, etc.... Sometimes I feel all alone with my love for this type of Christmas music.

I know what you mean...I have a fondness for those kind of tunes also. Sometimes I get sick of hearing pop artists singing and would prefer to hear music done by an orchestra. I do have a few CDs featuring some of these kinds of styles: a Celtic one and a Canadian Brass one but it would be nice to hear more of it on the radio around Christmastime.

I donít think the person known as Skynet74 from the below forums would fit very well here!

He would probably have me arrested for how often I play Christmas music - 365 days a year.

Boston Pops Orchestra

At least one or more, or edited pieces from all, of the Boston Pops Holiday (guess they can’t say “Christmas”) Series will be recorded and aired on public Television and Radio, I’m certain. Consult local schedules or the below web site for broadcast dates. Post ‘em here when you find ‘em!

Perhaps you may even be able to be in the audience!

From the web-site:

Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops open the 2009 Boston Pops Holiday Series on Wednesday, December 9 and continue through Sunday, December 27.

Be sure to check the Official Christmas Countdown 2009 thread soon to see Crown84 ask, “Does anyone know when The Boston Pops Holiday Special will be on TV this year?”

Can't understand why they stopped televising this wonderful program. It was my favorite annual special...

For 2009, you'll have Crown's answer!

Anyone hear anything on the Sirius XM schedule? I think it goes up around the 12th or so but I can't be sure.
