Christmas TogetherWe're here year round and even though we are scattered all over the world and most of us have never met face-to-face we find ways to celebrate the season together. From our annual Christmas exchanges to scheduled chats our Christmasing together is discussed here.
Oh, the season definitely. One day is not enough. From the time Santa Claus shows up on his sleigh at the end of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, to the Feast of the Epiphany, I just can't get enough of the good stuff. And would it surprise anyone here to know that, even before the calendar shows the season, I have Christmas on my mind year round? That's the wonderful thing about this website and this forum.

It´s both....without the day and the reason (Jesus birth) there would be no season....without the season....it wouldn´t feel as warm and beautifull....I can´t decide...because it just belongs together...I love the anticipation...the weather thas getting colder...the buying presents....the songs in the stores...the songs on the radio....THE COMMERCIALS (funnily...they are a big part for me...I´m happy like a kid in the candy store when I see my first X-mas commercial)....the food, the calendars, the advents wreath...buying the tree and decoratin it...I could continue....that special feeling I always have waking up on Christmas Eve (our big day in Germany)....the warmth I feel going to church hearing about Jesus birth again....seeing all the smiles on people´s faces....seeing my family.....I love it so so much.
Merry Christmas to All and God bless You

Both....but the season and the buildup is very fun to me. You know what I like most, I love seeing people, right around the middle of November, change. They become more friendly, more festive, and more joyful. That's why I love the season so much. The nature of things just changes all for the better. You don't see so much bad news all the time when you click on the news. There is things about giving being mentioned. The sounds that you hear at the mall, like walking by Santa and hearing all the kids (AND PARENTS) excitement. It's just truly wonderful.
But the symbolization of what it stands for is what matters most. Christmas Eve and Christmas are very festive at our families houses but we do not lose sight of the meaning. It weighs very heavy on my mind.
