letitsnow6767 has shown a merry disposition
fall anticipation

With August here, I can't help but continue to think about the next few upcoming months. I can't wait for september and october. I love fall! Its my favorite season. I love the leaves changing, all the beautiful colors, apple and pumpkins in season, the scent of oranges and spice, taking out those sweatshirts and cozy blankets, bonfires on those chilly nights. I just can't wait for all the apple and pumpkin festivals. Haybail rides, pumpkin picking, caramel corn and candy apple making. So exciting! My favorite season is right around the corner. I hope some of you guys out there feel the same. What's your favorite part of fall?

I'm with you on Autumn being my favorite season... Out here in Az I don't get the whole leave changing (only in the mountains). But I lived in Illinois for most of my life and enjoyed the crisp fall air, the smell of fires in the fireplaces.. Picking apples and apple cider... knowing that Thanksgiving is right around the corner and then CHRISTMAS!!!!

Fall is my favorite season as well! I love the smells, the sound of fallen leaves crunching under my feet, the fall festivals, the cool, crisp days, hay rack rides, Halloween...I love it all!

A friend and I were just talking about how much we love fall. There is just something comfy and cozy about fall. I love how nice the weather is and the smell in the air. Everything becomes so beautiful with such rich, warm colors. My family just becomes instantly close as soon as fall comes around. We are always getting the kids all together to go apple picking or to the pumpkin patch. Putting on a warm sweat shirt for the first time - it just feels so right!

Plus there is the anticipation of the upcoming holidays - Halloween, then Thanksgiving and then Christmas - it is just the most exciting time of year! I can't wait!!!

I love fall for all of the same reasons that everyone above me has stated! I look forward to it as soon as summer starts. I hate the summer months.

I always loved fall too. Like Head Elf, we don't get the leaves changing here in TX, but it was beautiful in Maryland, especially along route 15 in Frederick county, a lot of trees and lots of colors. But I look forward to fall even more here because the summers are so hot.

Yes and our falls tend to be hot as well. Every year in mid to late October we go to the air show and it is SO HOT that we get sunburned and exhausted from the heat. I remember they made an announcement at the air show to drink plenty of water because people were passing out from the heat. It is mixed weather here between September - November, from chilly to hot. One day sweaters and next day shorts. I wish we had a real fall!
