My Dog Sam
Dear Abby, I too was picked on when I was a child and I too turned to our dog Queenie. She always gave me love and she always listened. Bless you.
Go early and expect long lines for Disney's Christmas Carol Train. We were early and waited over an hour (and we heard that people elsewhere have waited up to two hours). But I am still glad we did. For those waiting in line, they had carolers in period costumes, and machines making artificial snow. Once we boarded the train and walked through several cars, we saw original costumes, production artwork, models of the characters, artifacts from Charles Dickens' life as an author, and a re-creation of one of the sets. In one car, they had do-it-yourself computer monitors where you could have your picture taken and inserted into scenes from the movie. Then off the train again we sat in a nearby theater to see a 15-minute selection of scenes from the movie, in 3-D. Interestingly, the selections come from only the first third of the story, to the arrival of the Ghost of Christmas Past. Nothing later in the story.
