I agree that is september is the start of it all. You start seeing more christmas stuff out in stores and the weather starts turning cooler. It just starts really getting me in the mood.

Yep! I love September too! A lot of significant events have happened for me in September, but the main reason I love it is because the first official day of fall is this month (the 22nd). I will be getting the fall decorations out a few days before the 22nd and that, for me, signifies the beginning of the holiday season. I always refer to these last few months of the year as the "ber months". SeptemBER, OctoBER, NovemBER, DecemBER....my favorite months of the year. I told my husband that and he thought I mean "burr" as in cold. He gave me a funny look because September (unfortunately) does not mean cold for us here in Alabama. So I had to explain it to him. The season is upon us and I'm excited!

No need to wait. National Weather Service: autumn begins September 1.

I am right w/you on the excitment of the season. I started my Christmas shopping yesterday. I usually start the first week in October but this year I saw something I just could not resist. Thats cool though, I'll be done shopping sooner and get to spend more time enjoying the Season!

Also it seems like its getting a bit more busier here on the forums. The pull of the coming festive season is showing as more of you are coming out of the wood work. Great stuff

Agreed. September has always signified the beginning of the run up to Christmas for me, too. Can't wait.

Thinking of Christmas is what gets me through those dark and cold months ! We're having stormy weather for the moment with lots of wind and rain and temperature dropped quite suddenly. Where has the summer gone to ??? So a bit of Christmas spirit is welcome to brighten the coming days !

Into my favorite months of the year now, the excitement just builds and builds... I just wish I could put the outdoor lights up now but i'd be the laughing stock of the neighborhood :P I will wait for mid november then get cracking on the display

I'm just hoping our local authority doesn't replace our roof this year... if they do we wont have our lights because of scaffholding
