star so glad that is over with!

Had to go for a colonoscopy today. While unpleasant it is a necessary test to get done. Mine was clear so it will be 5 years before I have to have another. I still feel a tad groggy, but will be well over it by morning.

When was the last time you took a preventative test?
My uncle died of colon cancer because by the time they caught it, it was to late.

Congrats on the good results. I had my first colonoscopy last october, and I don't have to go again for 10 years. They did find one poylp but it turned out to be nothing, not the kind that could turn into cancer. I agree, it's not a pleasant experience, but what a relief when it's over.

I had one this year as well. It is truly not pleasant to go thru. But it does give you a peace of mind knowing that you are okay.

I am glad everything is ok. My mother will not go get one done and should since she is in her late 60's. She said she feels fine but I told her that don't matter she should go in. She is in excellent health, athletic and has tons of energy (more than me, lol) but it still worries me she will not go in for one.

You deserve one of those "I survived" stickers. They're not real fun to go through are they? It's been about 5 years since my last one and I am not looking forward to another. But anyhow, hang in there and I'm really glad you got a great report!

Good deal! I had my first in early August... the test is nothing... it's the day before "prep" that's killer!

I'm not exactly sure how clean a whistle really is, but that's how clean they told me I was... I'm good for ten years.

Glad to hear that everything was okay. I remeber my mom was afraid to go get her first one done but afterwards she said that it was no big deal.
