Christmas Party Album

Ok this has got me thinking over the last few days on the back of the favourite Christmas Song thread, man that is just so hard to chose 1 song, so I thought i would make it a little more fun and extend the play list.

if you were making a Christmas party album to give to friends or to play at a Christmas part what would be on your album which songs would you chose and you could quite happily listen to these songs over and over again.

The party album is a double CD and will hold 28 Songs.

you can make it a single or double album

Mine are

1. Merry Christmas everybody Slade
2. I wish it could be Christmas everyday Wizzard
3. Merry Christmas everyone Shakin Stevens
4. I Believe in Father Christmas Greg Lake
5. Mary's Boy Child Boney M
6. When a Child is Born Johnny Mathis
7. Simply having a Wonderful Christmas time, Paul McCartney & Wings
8. Rockin around the Christmas Tree
9. Santa Claus is coming to town Jackson 5
10. Il dulcio jubilo Mike Oldfield
11. Do you see what I see
12. Christmas Wrapping, The Waitresses
13. Rudolph the Red nose Reindeer Dean Martin
14. Carol of the Bells
15. Its the most wonderful time of the year Andy Williams
16. last Christmas Wham
17. Walking in the air Aled Jones
18. The Christmas Song Nat King Cole
19. The First Noel
20. Here comes santa Claus
21. Oh Come all ye Faithful
22. I saw 3 Ships
23. Let it snow

Oddly enough, I do this every year for family and friends, giving them the CD's at Thanksgiving for maximum listening pleasure... I've been doing it since 2005 and my only criteria is TRY NOT to repeat a song from year to year (even the same song done by a different artist) and TRY to find some music you don't normally hear a THOUSAND times on the radio... my playlist for 2009 is:

A Ride On Santa's Sleigh -- The Peter Wood Singers
Wouldn't It Be Fun (To Be Santa Claus's Son) -- Spike Jones
You're All I Want For Christmas -- Brooke Benton
Rockabilly Christmas -- Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
Good King Wenceslaus -- The Glad Singers
My Only Wish This Year -- Britney Spears
I'm Gonna E-mail Santa -- Billy Gilman
Natividad -- June Van Harvie
Christmas Angel -- Bobby Vinton
Gee Whiz, It's Christmas -- Carla Thomas
Feliz Navidad -- Jose Feliciano
Santa's Coffee -- Billy Beau
Jingle Baby -- Stephanie Mills
Christmas Kisses -- Ray Anthony
Shake Hands With Santa Claus -- Louis Prima
That's What I Want For Christmas -- Nancy Wilson
Victor Young Medley -- Spike Jones
Everybody Loves Christmas -- Eddie Money
Christy Christmas -- Brenda Lee
Carol Of The Bells -- John Tesh
Pappa Santa Claus -- Bing Crosby/The Andrews Sisters
Christmas Pipes -- Celtic Woman
Santa's Beard -- The Beach Boys
I'd Like To Hitch A Ride With Santa Claus -- D's3
The Christmas Song -- Los Straightjackets
Twinkle, Twinkle Little Me -- Stevie Wonder

i know for sure it would have to have "Sleigh Ride", instrumental, on it! The rest I would have to think about. There are so many wonderful Christmas songs, it is hard to choose just a few.
