My Dog Sam
Dear Abby, I too was picked on when I was a child and I too turned to our dog Queenie. She always gave me love and she always listened. Bless you.
My first tree goes up the first weekend in November. Then I do one tree a weekend for the rest of the month, ending with our live tree that we'll go chop down Thanksgiving weekend. I love the month of November!!!
Last year I had to have my trees and decorations up before Thanksgiving because daughter and her family were moving in with us because of son-in-law changing jobs and location.
This year they are in their own place and I can go back to my usual day after Thanksgiving putting trees up. But I will have lights up outside and inside before Thanksgiving but won't turn them on until Thanksgiving night.
Our tree goes up the day after Thanksgiving!! I so cannot wait! I'm sure I will start to get out my small decorations before that though
Outdoor lights will probably go up this weekend or next but we will not turn on until Thanksgiving weekend
Mine will probably be going up the week of Thanksgiving this year - maybe starting the Sunday night b/f Thanksgiving?? I guess that would be 5 1/2 weeks! My niece emailed today that she is hosting the T-day party. since I'm not hosting I don't have any reason to wait until after Thanksgiving! So exciting!!!
Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace & goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.
