Tips for Buying a Fresh Tree

I do like them,Especially to the bookstore.I can get lost for hours in there.Certain stores for the kids like Build-A-Bear,shoes etc.. stores where you know that its best for them to pick their gifts out.Plus for older kids like my 17 yr old twin Nephews,Gift Cards are the best thing.
I think gift cards are good for people that you don't know personally as much and want to get something but don't know what. As a buyer, I'd much rather shop for something I know someone would want or need and give something so that I can see there face when they open it. Especially the neices and nephews and brothers. And I wouldn't ever get my wife a gift card. If I don't know something she wants then I don't need to be buying anything LOL . Sadly I have realized that this year some of the family is getting older and are probably going to have to recieve gift cards over presents.
I don't hate them but I try to give something more personal. I do give out gift cards to restaurants to my aunt who goes out to eat for lunch every day and a couple of my neighors. I have also given some walmart gift cards to some friends who were having a rough time. That way they could either get something they wanted or use it to buy grocerys.
If I am to receive a gift card, I'd prefer something like Half Price Books, Bath & Body Works or one of my fave restaurants. Let's face it, we don't always know some of the nieces and nephews along with their likes and dislikes. For that reason, gift cards are nice. They usually waste no time using them.
A Beary Merry Christmas to all!

I don't dislike them but, I like to buy something personal. I don't feel like I'm giving anything if I just give a card. They are good for people who live out of state though because the shipping is easy! I don't mind getting them though as gifts. I don't care where they are to either but, a Visa card or Wal-Mart card is good because if I'm short on cash I can use that to buy food if I need to or gas! May not seem like much of a Christmas gift when you use it for something like that but, it helps on the checkbook if you can use it that way.
