My Merry Christmas Announcement

Christmas Together We're here year round and even though we are scattered all over the world and most of us have never met face-to-face we find ways to celebrate the season together. From our annual Christmas exchanges to scheduled chats our Christmasing together is discussed here.

So far, I am the only one on my block. My house is trimmed in icicle lights and I have lighted reindeer out. This weekend I will do a little more. But for now, its sufficient to turn them on right after thanksgiving dinner. Wow, I can't believe the season is actually here. It feels like it is going to go by way too fast.

A guy down on the beach has a huge-fronted house which he completely covers in Christmas decorations and animated figures - it's a bit like Danny Devito's house in Deck The Halls - without the music. Boats coming in can see it from miles away. He's even got Santa arriving by helicopter on the roof.

He started putting decs up in October. People go along for a look at donate money to the local hospital. I believe it's quite common in the US, but not so much here in the UK

Hi winterberry
It's the most easterly inhabited island in UK, ten miles east from Colchester in Essex, around 40 miles north of London. Small town reached by a causeway which gets covered by the tide, not many people have heard of it! x

7 in total. One house has lights and decorations all over the front yard too. It's stunning!

No! I'm not brave enough. We sometimes go and watch though. It's something of a Boxing Day tradition and quite a sight, all those people, most of them in fancy dress, running into the sea. They raise a lot of money for the RNLI.
