Upside down Christmas tree!

There are a lot of upside down Christmas trees in the shops this year. I'm not sure ... Think I'll stick to the traditional way. Here's one on sale in John Lewis (click on thumbnail for bigger pic).

I think they look SO bizarre!! It obviously works for some people but I must admit to being somewhat of a traditionalist, especially when it comes to my Christmas tree!!

There is a florist in our area that have always hung a Christmas tree upside down in their store window. They have been doing this for almost 15 years. It catches your attention but not sure I am crazy about it. To each their own.

the only reason I could see for one is to save floor space, but I don't like them at all.

They just look odd to me, but then I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas

On a similar note I remember a few years ago seeing a program where a guy was talking about trying to start a new trend where the Christmas tree was hung upside down from the ceiling with (I think) a decorated umbrella underneath to catch the falling pine needles. Again, very odd looking, I'd much rather have a traditional looking tree and have to hoover lots!
