O boy - am I glad I found this forum. No more having to hide my excitement about the forthcoming festive season - I have found a place where I can openly wallow in the joy! To explain - my office is largely filled with people who either find the whole event boring or tedious and if anyone should mention that they actually dont mind it (heck, even look forward to it) then they're deemed tres uncool and/or slightly sad.
I am a 37 year old Christmas obsessive (and proud of it!). My OH (fortunately) is a Christmas fan(atic!) like me ... but still it's nice to find a gathering of people on the Net who would appear to enjoy the whole occasion as much as I!
So much so, I've already begun baking (well `trying out' some Christmas Cupcake and home-made mini mince pie ideas ready to be handed out in ribbon tied boxes nearer to the big occasion) - see below :-
Christmas cupcakes are made with home-made fondant icing and the mincepies made with home-made sweet shortcrust pastry and filled with home-made mincemeat.
Anyway hello to everyone - it's the last w/end in November tomorrow so I think I'll start my celebrating now
