School Christmas Play

Has your child(ren) had their school Christmas Play yet?
My daughters was today. They had a showing at 1:30 this afternoon and also 7:00 this evening. I went to both. It was really cute. It was called Once on a house top. They had various scenes of how Christmas is celebrated around the world. They had a Hanukkah scene, a Mexican Christmas scene, a Chinese dragon scene. The last scene was kindergartens....oh they were sooooo cute. It was set up with the baby Jesus in the manger, three wise men etc. And the best part was when they sung Away in a manger...which kinda blew me away. It seems any more all Christmas songs I sang as a kid (keeping the true meaning in them all) have changed to other words etc. So I was thrilled when they sang this song.

My kids are no longer in school so I do not get to go to those anymore.
but I always loved them!
Glad to hear they are keeping the true meaning of Christmas in their celebrations.

My first grader has his next Thursday. I'm looking forward to it. Theirs seems to be a mix of religious & secular songs and acts. My son is a shepard this time around.

I was the 'leader of the chinese wind' in one school play! Can't remember what was really happening, but I think we had to travel round the world ringing bells or something...
