Christmas TogetherWe're here year round and even though we are scattered all over the world and most of us have never met face-to-face we find ways to celebrate the season together. From our annual Christmas exchanges to scheduled chats our Christmasing together is discussed here.
We craft throughout the year because we enjoy them. Typically we'll find a good craft for an afternoon, make a bunch of them up, and add them to the assortment that will go into the stockings, or Easter baskets depending on the craft. An example would be ribbon belts, which simply require the ribbon and two small D-rings per belt (a Martha Stewart craft, we get a lot from there). For more involved projects, which I don't currently have the chance to do, I'd start in June.

It all depends on how many but I usually start beginning of summer otherwise I'll never get done. Once September I have too many other things to prepare and if home made gifts and /or cards are over and done with I can concentrate on fun things
It is in giving that you receive the greatest gift !
My homemade gifts are usually food so they don't get made until a couple weeks before christmas. This year though I am thinking about making homemade ornaments to go along with the cookies and candies I pass out. The plan right now is to start them in may.
I just craft when I craft and they become gifts the year they're finished. I started a rug for my MIL last September. She'll likely get it this year. I don't like to rush my home-made gifts, because they eventually become not fun to do! So, I always have a backup plan if the gift isn't finished for the year it's intended. This past Christmas, MIL got yankee candles (her favorite is sugar cookie!) and I made some chocolates to give her as well.
I found a new Love,Crocheting. So Im hoping to make scarfs and a few sets of slippers for everyone.Besides that.I like to start making homemade soaps, candles, mini picture books, etc. in the summer.Since thats when my Christmas mood really takes off.
