Winter Olympics

I knew it was coming, but didn't realize it starts tomorrow.

Are you excited?

What's your favorite event? Curling, I thought so! Nothing like sliding a rock, while your buddy sweeps a path for it.

Your thoughts!

I'm pretty excited for them to start today!! I must admit, I'm a fan of curling too. It's just such a strange event.

My favorite is figure skating !

There are only ten Belgians participating in the games so I doubt we'll bring home any medals.

I absolutely love the Winter Olympics! If they are on, I watch it, I don't care what the event is.

Any event where people careen up, down, or around ice/snow on runners, sticks, blades, or something that looks like an oversize tongue depressor, has my full attention. Love the Olympics! Bring 'em on! Woohoo!

And on a more quiet note, I'm really happy for the hundreds of people who've worked so hard for their moment in the spotlight. Conversely, my heart goes out to the tens of thousands who worked just as hard, had just as much heart, but missed their shot by a single breath, stretch, or tick of the clock.

I was just about to come on here to start a thread about the Olympics. Glad I looked first to see it was already posted.

I love Summer and Winter Olympics. I watch as much as I possibly can. Oh yes, Curling is my favorite especially when The Beatles played that in the movie Help. Just kidding, it was funny in the movie but not my favorite in the Olympics.

I would have to say womens Figure Skating is my favorite. Snow Boarding is fun to watch especially Shaun White! I love almost all of it. I can't wait!

I am watching coverage of the torch relay right now. It is all taking place in our own beautiful Vancouver. I love watching all the places that are familiar to me, I have walked or driven in many of those places.
Right now they are in Robson square running it on a zamboni around the ice with 92 year Dal Richards holding the torch.

I love to watch the olympics. Some of my favorite winter events are the ski jumps and snowboarding. I also love to watch curling. Everybody thinks I am crazy but it is interesting to me how they can change the path of the stone by sweeping in front of it.

This sucks, a bunch of protesters have just stopped the progress of the torch relay.

Or get up early!! It starts here at 1:45am and I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to stay awake. I get so patriotic and homesick when I watch the Olympics - especially when Canada is hosting.

I have my red mittens and I'm good to go!!!

Shame about the luger who was killed today though.........
