Which Christmas/Holiday movies would you like to a remake of ?

What movie(s) would you like to see a remake of ?

I think Elf was the last great original movie made ... so I think remakes are going to more frequent .

The Grinch and A Christmas carol have been done and done ...

I would like to see s Rudolph the red noised reindeer remake .

I am speaking of " big budget" releases , not " made for tv " .

To tell the truth... None of them. I like the originals [with the exception of A Christmas Carol] and it seems a shame to make over such classics. Kind of makes me sad too.

I've enjoyed many versions of A Christmas Carol and although I've watched a few remakes over the years of other films, I always found I liked the originals best of all. I don't care much for Christmas sequels either.

I'm still waiting for a new Christmas flick to hit one outta the festive ballpark.

Disney - Pixar & Rankin and Bass offer great stuff, I'm looking forward to a new contender that screams "Merry Christmas everyone" that isn't a remake.

Good question though.

You know that's a really good question. Like Courtney, I prefer the classics to be left alone. THen again, would a live action Frosty the Snowman be cool..then again maybe not, thinking Jack Frost.

A live action Night Before Christmas would be cool. THere would have to be alot of filler, though.

I'm gonna have to think more on this one. Great thread!

That is a great idea, get rid of the mice,(except for the sleeping mouse not stirring) start by showing the excitement building like a week or a few days before Christmas at a family's house and at the North Pole. Keep the hokey slapstick type comedy out of it. Have someone like Kelsey Grammar or Morgan Freeman narrating and have the culmination of course the poem. Just make it a touching feel good movie that someday could be a classic

Classics are classics for a reason... leave 'em alone...

HOWEVER... I'd enjoy seeing a remake of Santa Claus Conquers The Martians with all the Star Wars-like advances in SFX and CGI since the original was released (1964?)...

Just don't change the theme song!

Ha ha ha! Awesome!

I have the dvd Santa Claus Defeats the Aliens that I bought for a buck. We have yet to watch it. I might put that in for my grandkids this week to see what they think.

Being a Peanuts nut, I would watch a live version of A Charlie Brown Christmas - maybe they could add I Want A Dog For Christmas, Charlie Brown to make it last longer.

I am really into the voices behind the animated classics and when they are transformed, I never seem to enjoy the new voices or real people as much as the originals.

I guess that makes me a traditional Christmas viewer.
