Taking a Christmas Cruise

We’ve always had very traditional Christmas celebrations. So when my husband suggested we take a cruise last over last Christmas I was not keen to the idea. After all, being away from home meant no tree, no wrapped presents, no holiday foods, lights or…stress. It was a very unconventional idea, one I wasn’t sure my [...]ShareThis

Kind of reminds me of that Christmas with the Cranks movie.

I don't know if I could ever do a cruise on Christmas. I know it has grown into a novel idea these days, but I just don't know if I'd like to spend Christmas in the Bahamas or somewhere that doesn't feel very Christmas-esque. I do find your experience interesting in regard to seeing different styles and traditions of Christmas being celebrated.

Wouldn't it be great if there was an actual Christmas themed cruise? I know they have disney cruises, which obviously contain many disney themes, from characters to activities, etc. With a cruise dedicated to Christmas, it could have many different themes, from carolers to Christmas activities, baking classes, shows, Christmas lights, etc. That would be awesome. I'd certainly have to look into doing something like that.

I could maybe go for an Alaskan cruise, or somewhere else where it's cold, as long as the whole family went.
