UK Weather getting colder from Thursday.

Apparantly temperatures will fall to highs of around 12c from Thursday and the first frost of winter will be here next week. There is even the possability for early snow in some parts by Nov.

It,s been quite mild latley here in UK so about time the weather is cooling a bit.

It's been very mild. Certainly saving on the heating, but it's time it felt more like Halloween. Cold and crisp please. I read that there should be considable snow this year going by weather models, alas as we know long range forecasts are very inaccurate.

Well Thursday was certainly colder, especialy in the evening. Heating be on by the weekend if it satys like this.

Starting to slowly feel like it should at this time of year, clocks go back in 2 weeks so will be dark by 5.30 then we be into Nov.

Trackrebel - Apparantly Germany is set for some snow in the coming weeks so you may get your cold wish

the southern parts of Germany have gotten some snow....I believe above 800meters......In Austria, they had about 50cm of snow....now that is insane....lol

Although I don't have many expectations about snow here, in Western Scotland, but the last couple of days have been really nice! No rain, clear sky, lower than normal temperature... I could actually feel the crisp air when I was walking to the campus in early mornings. I really enjoyed that!

Get ready for the snow, apparantly (have to say that as the weather in advance is hard to predict) November is set to be colder and the first snowfall of winter for the UK.

If true will be the worst UK winter for many years - colder thatn 2010 and more snow. Disruptions around UK very likely also due to snow in Dec and Jan.

Would love the above to be true, time will tell. The main energy suppliers are hiking up there prices soon so they will love it if this does happen.

Ive also just read that they are predicting this winter to be the worst one in the last 100 years!! looks like another "big freeze" is set to hit with snow from next month!
