I like homemade cakes. I make the Black Magic Chocolate Cake and my husband's favorite cake for strawberry shortcake is my Yogurt Pound Cake. Recipe for Yogurt Pound Cake:
2 and 1/4 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup butter (2 sticks) room temp.
3 large eggs
1 cup any fruited yogurt (I use strawberry or strawberry banana)
Mix all in large bowl at low speed, then beat for 3 minutes on medium speed. Pour into tube pan that has greased and floured (I just spray mine, it works)
Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees. This cake can be served with strawberries and whipped topping or just eaten alone with no icing, very tasty and moist.
