Christmas Decorations Christmas is a hands-on art. From the lights we put on the house to the decorations we put on the tree to the great foods we eat in the process, Christmas is a time of doing -- and this is the place we gather to talk, plan and share.

I should be mentally checked or so I have been told

I get antsy around Oct 25th of every year. I dig out all my decorations and neatly organize what goes where, THEN I go nuts and start decorating. My outside lights (just the lights) were up by Halloween and the rest of the outside stuff went up after Halloween. BUT here is the thing, I had my tree up and decorated as well as all the decorations up in the house on the 28th of October. HEE HEE HEE. I did all my shopping in September and had it all wrapped about a week after I got it all. NOW I have a fully decorated inside and outside. Am I nuts or do I just have alot of Christmas Spirit?

I don't think you're crazy, but perhaps if you asked this question somewhere else...

I would have done the same if it weren't for the fact that they already think I'm the neighborhood crazy around here. I applaud you for doing it despite the criticism.

I'd say you have a lot of Chriustmas spirit AND a great ability to prepare. I could never get my shopping done that early.

You've got Christmas spirit and self-discipline. Very organized. I feel haphazard by comparison.

LOL I will not be able to sit back and relax. The fianl week BEFORE Christmas is a total madhouse around here and when I am visiting my family up north. I seem to be the only one who knows how to put the whole holiday baking and cooking operations into effect. THey all get a kick out of me barking orders at everyone. THat is until I bark one at them, then they are all business. I do have fun though. Making cookies, pies, cakes, and sweeties are just a few of my favorite things to do this time of year. Not to mention the final sit down to enjoy all the good stuff, makes all that work and the laryngytis worthwhile.
