My Merry Christmas Announcement

Christmas Decorations Christmas is a hands-on art. From the lights we put on the house to the decorations we put on the tree to the great foods we eat in the process, Christmas is a time of doing -- and this is the place we gather to talk, plan and share.

Old Christmas cards

FOr those of you who save Christmas cards year after year, here is an idea... start a card wall..... I have 2 years saved and the wall behind our TV is COVERED with loads of cards........... the sticky putty they sell at Walmart works really well for putting them up, no sticky or tearing left behind when they come down I will post some pics soon

I like your card wall idea.

I recycle my cards by cutting them and using them for gift tags. I punch a hole in them and secure them with ribbon on the gifts. Makes gift wrapping more fun to match the paper with a card from last year.

I also cut the cards and use them in decorating.

Some of the real old cards are becoming quite collectable, just like baseball cards mine all are long gone.

If you take a look at vintage christmas cards on eBay you'll see quite a few for sale. I've noticed one card for up to 50 dollars at times.

A friend of mine take the cards she recieves from yrs before and cuts the pictures and stuff out and then makes cards out of those.

you could also cut a cute pic out and glue it to back of the card you are sending like a wax stamp type thing.
