Tips for Buying a Fresh Tree
I will do that fresh cut of the trunk.....that was my problem last Christmas.....the tree lost so many needles....even tho it was fresh....the problem was....since I didnīt cut the trunk....the tree...
We put everything up inside except the real tree in the living room Nov. 1st. It will be later this year because Halloween falls on a Sunday, will probably do it that first Saturday in Nov. We get our real tree the Weekend of Thanksgiving, and hubby starts doing the outside stuff as soon as he is sick of me nagging him about it, usually mid Nov. I am lucky my hubby likes Christmas almost as much as me, so he doesn't mind them up "early", plus he would do anything if thought it would make me happy!
we dont do outdoor decorations, not many do in the uk but indoor decorations will be going up on the 27th nov which is a friday,1st dec would be normal here in the uk but i dont fancy putting them up in the middle of the week.
As a kid, it was tradition to decorate the day after Christmas, so my husband and I have followed suit and we decorate the day after Christmas as well. He decorates the outside then right around that time whenever it's not "too chilly".
