Tips for Buying a Fresh Tree
I will do that fresh cut of the trunk.....that was my problem last Christmas.....the tree lost so many needles....even tho it was fresh....the problem was....since I didnīt cut the trunk....the tree...
Big tree in the living room in front of the picture window but I'm thinking about putting it in the corner this year. Smaller tree in our bedroom, wall tree in our dining room and two smaller wall trees, one in the kitchen, other in the bathroom.
Also, I always have a larger tree in the basement on the platform that once held our woodburner. I also do some smaller trees.
I prefer the white lights for they showcase the ornaments and make them sparkle, but I do use colored on the smaller trees.

We put one in the formal living room in front of the bay window and the other in the family room next to the fireplace. I was so excited when we built this house, that I would finally have a big window on the front of my house where I could put a tree. I always loved driving around and being able to see everyone's tree in the window all lit up.

We have been putting the 6 ft tree in front of our big window in the living room, but this year it will be against the wall due to new furniture, and we put our 7ft tree in our sitting (or red room) in the corner. I have pics in my albums of both.
Well, my LA apt will have a small fake one right by the entrance to our living room. My mom's house will probably have a real one - and it's always somewhere different, but looks amazing no matter where it's home is.
We put ours in front of the main window in our livingroom. Being that we live in a small apartment there's not much other place to put it but I like having it up where people can see it when they're going by anyway!
Our livingroom, dining room and kitchen are all connected and are sort of down a hallway from the front door. Our tree sits in front of a bay window in the 'livingroom' part. I love opening the blinds while the snow is falling with the tree on...So peaceful.
You can also see the tree as soon as you walk in the front door, which I like!
But I sometimes do wish I had a layout where the livingroom was at the front of the house and you can see the tree in the window.
There really is no where else to put the tree...LOL. We could put it in our basement once it's finished, but I would miss seeing it right away when I came home and it would feel too "stuffed away".
