Sounds like great ideas. I need to get started on getting more stocking stuffers for my kids. They like the fun character band aids so I put a box of those in each of their stockings along with the fun tube candies..... like the idea of an orange. We used to get an apple along with nuts and such at a Christmas party we used to attend as kids, and since my son likes apples, might just do that. I want to find things that my kids will like, and use or enjoy rather than adding just to the stash.

Check out Target, they have $1 bins near the front of the store filled with all sorts of things... Coloring books, notepads, gloves, all sorts of good stocking stuffer type gifts.

WE all get dedorant, dental floss, toothpaste. I also like to add car fragrances, and cute little things like a small tool or something. In my stocking, my husband likes to buy me nail polish, lipstick, makeup, etc. WE all get candy in our stockings too.

My husband gets candy, gift cards (for places he likes to go with the guys), cool pens, gadgets, sometimes a DVD. He gives me candy, nail polish, lotion with new scents, CDs, Christmas socks, gift cards. We usually give the kids little books, snacks, gadgets, other little fun things.

One year, I got tickets for two amazing concerts in there! That was surprising, since we usually keep stocking stuffers relatively cheap!

It varies every year for me. I usually put bath-type stuff in my mom's. I always put specialty chocolate bars that I would never buy normally. Sometimes it's sweet stuff like ginger candy or coated nuts. Sometimes it's headphones or tools.

I put whatever I can stuff in there and then pack it to the gills. They usually won't stay up on the mantle. hah hah.

My mom always put some kind of tool in my stocking, which is great.

this year my nephew moved in with my family and he's 5 and has never really experienced a full intense christmas so me and my girlfriend are planning on buying 3 stalkings for each of us then decorating them together with my nephew. glitter, glue, cut outs etc..

i know i will be making a trip to target, walmart and the dollar tree to stuff my nephews stalking with toy cars, candy, pencils, pens, crayons and something personal that i will make like a small picture frame. thanks all for the ideas i need to get started soon!

My older son is now a teenager so he & my Husband get socks, CD, deoderant, Terry's choc Orange & ALWAYS an orange & apple and a 50p coin like I used to get- the fruit goes back in the bowl as soon as they can put it back! My baby is 2yrs old so this will be the first yr that he "gets" Christmas, he will be getting crayons, cars, & lots of little thing I think he will enjoy. The stockings are usually too heavy for the mantle so they get put on the bottom of the bed- I always used to love feeling the weight at my feet because I knew "He'd Been"!
I am going to have to hint a bit more as my stocking is always empty, but I do get lots of presents to open from under the tree.
