My son: candy, small toys, candy, socks etc (I feel he is harder than the girls)

As a kid I always got a toothbrush in my stocking. For hubby I do a mix of practical things, like deodorant, soap, and boxer, and fun things, like the old Magic Pen books we used to get as kids, a paperback book, gift cards, candy, etc. This year I found some fun gag gifts like a Mr. Bacon action figure and bacon flavored toothpicks. He also asked for some new tools so I got him a mini mag lite for his stocking also!

I usually do my little sister's stocking, so I always put a DVD, a few kids books, a Toothbrush, crayons, funky pencils, and a whole bunch of candy.

Saint Nicholas gives gifts in shoes in the days before 5 december (when he gives lots of toys)... here's things that are really popular:
- pencils for gameboy DS
- colorful pens
- small magic tricks
- books with Saint Nicholas or Christmas songs
- coloring books with a holiday theme
- a black pete's or saint nicholas hat (as if black pete left it on accident)
- saint nicholas or christmas mug (to drink hot chocolate in style)
- children reading books about christmas or saint nicholas

maybe this will help you as well
