Christmas Eve is such a soecil night. My husband and i go to church, then when we come home, we enjoy the night with our kids, having appetizers, listening to christms music, or watching a movie on tv. There great anticipation in the air about what tomorrow will bring.

Go to my husband's parents for Christmas, eat dinner and open presents, go to church, and if it's not my holiday to work (I do this every other year, which it's not mine this year...yah!!!), we will spend the night there, watch the Christmas Story, which we do every year, listen to Christmas music, and enjoy each other's company!

Christmas Eve? HMMM! Being here with all of you and watching Santa on the Radar. Watch "White Christmas" or "The Santa Claus Movie" or better yet "Rudolph". And spending time with my neighbors too! They are like my family.

I must wake up and have coffee with my Mom and Dad before he goes and does his Christmas shopping (all of it). I also must play video games with my brother. Yes, we are in our 30's...but Christmas brings out the kid in all of us. At least that is what Mom tells us when we end up cussing each other.

I must sit with my mom as she sips coffee and soymilk and talks to me about life... I must exchange presents with my brother and sister, as that is what we siblings do on Christmas Eve... I must make delicious vegan holiday cookies with the family and listen to holiday music while we do it... I must have a hot mug of cocoa (with soymilk, of course), sit by the Christmas tree, and bask in the joy of its beauty... I must pet every single cat in the house... I must leave cookies and - you guessed it - soymilk! - for Santa (even though I know he may respond to soymilk the way Tim Allen's Santa does in The Santa Clause)...

It ain’t Christmas Eve for me (personally) until I’ve listened to at least a few hours of Jon Solomon’s & Robert Drake’s twenty-four hour Christmas music marathon radio shows! (Hopefully recorders are catching all of them for my archives.)
