Us kids always fly out to Oregon to our parents home,I usually go out the week before christmas,my brother and sister end up coming usually the day or 2 before..On christmas eve we all are in and out of the house going to get food or groceries for my moms baking, and of course the MALL you can feel the excitement in the air...we end up eating xmas eve dinner that evening then opening presents then heading out to midnight mass.

Wow, everyone has some really great sounding Christmas eve's. For us it has changed through the years. What used to be a very big day in itself has dwindled, like someone else said, due to death, birth, & some moving. Now my hubby, kids, & I are @ the house watching some christmas movies, listening to christmas music, finishing last minute baking. I did start a tradition of my own w/ my kids when they were much younger that they get to open 1 gift the night of Christmas Eve. I always have the "eve" gift marked & that 1 is the only 1. They know what it is, new pajamas. They wear them that night for the pictures taken the next morning. I know I might be a dud for giving the same thing every Christmas Eve but they sure do look cute christmas morning.
