You wouldn't catch me in a store on Christmas eve I worked in retail for 20 uyesrs, and know very well hw cerzy the stores get. When I woprked, i remember thinking why do these people wait to shop at the last minute, then they get angry because they can't find what they're lookng for.

I have had to in the past due to hectic work schedules, the last few years I have gotten more efficient with my holiday shopping and now buy a lot online too. I do like going out in the crazyness on Black Friday, but I try to avoid shopping on Christmas eve these days if I can.

I sure try not to, but on occasion I discover that I've forgotten someone that I thought I had covered ... Over the years I've made a few quick trips to the corner store to see what might pass as an acceptable gift.

I have shopped for a person or two on my list on Christmas Eve and I do dread it. I always promise myself to be done before then, but there are times when I still have a stocking stuffer or 2 to find. Last year, I bought my cousin an inexpensive MP3 player. I ran out to pick it up on Christmas Eve morning since Walmart was loaded with them. I didnt have to really shop or look around. Just went in and got it. Sometimes, I may need another roll of wrapping paper or a small pack of bows or something. I dont care to shop on Christmas Eve, but I have been known to run out for an item or two. But, never any major shopping.

I've shopped for a few things on Christmas Eve, but don't really like it.

Usually it was fun going out to all the stores, especially early, like in late-November, but I have to admit the last six or seven years I've bought 95% of all the gifts online. I find it so easy, to be able to shop from the comfort of home. And, when you get used to not being around the large crowd and bustle when shopping, you kind of get used to it.

So, I'll pick a weekend, probably next, and sit down at the 'puter and do most of the shopping that needs to be done.

I certainly like the fact you can get things online that may not be available close to home.

But I digress!

No, I don't like shopping on Christmas Eve.
