Gift 3 Best gift you/your kids ever gotten at a Santas Grotto?

I remember my cousin getting He-Man stuff back in the 80's!! Not sure what I had now.....
Last year my daughter received a Christmas Book. Which is better than chocolates like the previous years.
I think some places charge ridiculous amounts of money though.

I think Santa Grottos might be a UK or European thing. We have santas at malls & dept stores. It's free unless you want to buy a picture. The kid might get a candy cane or something, but no real gifts.

I've seen you mention Santa Grottos a few times lately. Would you mind explaining exactly what they are? It sounds interesting.

The only "grotto" I've ever heard about is a certain area of the pool at the Playboy Mansion. I think maybe yours are a little different. lol

Ah ok, I never realised this was a UK thing. A Grotto is I guess a UK saying. Its a place where the kids go to see Santa. We have to pay over here to see him. A picture and a gift is usually about £3 to £5, it can vary from place to place. I think there is only one shop in my town that has a store Santa, other than that there are places, like for me there is a wooden hut type of thing built by the fairground at the winter wonderland, its made up to look like the North Pole. Santa sits in his little 'log house' by the fire. He talks to the kids and the 'Elf' takes a picture. This is my favourite 'grotto' to take the kids.
