Was held last nite (sorry to hear you missed it Kelly
), but i and my familly (son & partner) had the pleasure of taking part.
Was great but strange at the same time, since i can remember as a very, very young child i have whatched every single one bar 2 i think. this year though i was lucky to have been involved in the design, construction of the float and then to actualy be in the parade.
Must be honest though, we only had around 7-8 sessions to get it all sorted and orginised and at few times i was close to walking. Reason was, with everything else i have going on this turned out to be quite an effort (not helped by a lot of people on the float only happy to be on it-NOT help with the nitty gritty).
But on the day was fantastic, the kids loved it and so did us grown ups!!
. Our float was Peter Pan and to top off a fantastic nite WE WON THE BEST FLOAT AWARD
At the end, everyone involved had a party at the local Guildhall, attended by the Mayor, local radio and some Panto stars (well i aint ever heard of them!).
Great day/nite, well worth the effort.
