Red Cross Bans Christmas

Christmas has been banned by the Red Cross from its 430 fund-raising shops. Staff have been ordered to take down decorations and to remove any other signs of the Christian festival because they could offend Moslems. The charity’s politically-correct move triggered an avalanche of criticism and mockery last night – from Christians and Moslems. Christine [...]

What a load of rubbish. Im not a Christian and I celebrate Christmas. I dont mean to offend but each to their own right? They shouldnt be offended by our faiths and vice versa. It annoys me so much when people go out of their way to accommodate their faith in our schools and society. It makes me so mad when people are afraid of offending these people, they are only people at the end of the day and we should all stand up for our beliefs and faiths...not hide behind it.
I could go on about this as they seem to get 'special treatment' in our country....its NOT ON!!! Grrrrrr

This is old news (2002) and was in a news paper, the daily mail, not exactly known for its journalistic competence... (you can tell it's old cos the government minister mentioned on there is from the party that lost the UK elections in May 2010!)

This is new on the red cross site: http://blogs.redcross.org.uk/uk/2010...eal-christmas/
