I remember the first time gas hit a dollar a gallon here. It was around '82, and I had just bought a Chevy Camaro. I thought I'd never get to drive it with such expensive gas!

I remember when we switched over here in Canada, what a hassle it was. We are pretty much used to it now, us "older" ones that is. The kids do not know anything different as that is all they have learned in school. There are some areas we still use the imperial system and that is only because all the old cookbooks are printed that way.
Anyway, I am rambling....can you believe someone once told me I talk to much??!!

Bear in mind that I'm born and bred Canadian - I remember the switch over too - I was in Grade 6!

They use a mixture of both over here - again, something which they are trying to change over to but old habits die hard - but as the bulk of people on this forum are in the US, I thought I'd convert everything for them to make it easier to compare
