Well hubby gets his outside lights done in one day but me I take about a week inside because I do a little at a time. And if I do any lights outside, I do it while the weather is still warm but hubby doesn't care, he's out there in the freezing cold doing it. LOL, tradition.

Lights do not get turned on until Thanksgiving Day in the evening.

I usually wait to late to get started and don't get them up by Thanksgiving night, which is my goal.

I'm going to start testing light strings this week and start programming my sequences to coincide with the lights I have to work with. In years past I didn't have to do this, but this will be the second year in a row that I can't afford to buy any more new lights and just have to work with what I have. That makes for some pretty Picasso looking designs.

I'll actually start putting them up and running cords when I take the Halloween stuff down on about Nov 1st.

I answered that it takes me one day but the time is kind of seperated. I meant maybe a day total. Last year it was a nice weekend in November probably around the 2nd weekend... I started putting the lights outside then. I work on the windows whenever I get a chance. I didnt turn them on until around Thanksgiving though.

It takes me about a week, give or take. I live in a Condo but I have an end unit ranch style so I can really go at it. I do a whole little outside display and well for me it has to be "just so" and takes me a little bit to make it the way I want.

Sometimes I start the day after Thanksgiving but not for any reason other than that I usually have that time off. I always intend to start putting them up ahead of time and never get around to it!
