Movies that don't get their due

Do you have a favorite movie that you feel just doesn't get the attention it deserves?

One of my favorites is The Iron Giant. Great story, animation, humor. I think it was ignored because it was non-Disney, & most animated films without that association are ignored.

"The Loved One" (1965) - Finally saw a DVD release around ten years ago.

"The Flim Flam Man" (1967) - Not officially released in a digital format to date.

I have great memories of the Flim Flam man! When I was a kid I first saw that movie at Fish Lake Lodge in southern Utah while on a fishing vacation with my family. I am surprised it hasn't been released yet on DVD or Blu-Ray.

"Brain Donors" (1992)---it's a remake of "A Night at the Opera," believe it or not, and it's darn funny! Paramount tried to bury it because the Zucker brothers didn't renew their contract, and when it was released on video they marketed it as a turkey. Don't you believe it! It's a blast!

We have tons of other movies that we love---little-known films mostly from the 1940s that are not shown on TV or available on video. But there's not much point in listing them, 'cause nobody can go see them unless you know a film collector. Maybe someday TCM will wake up and realize what they're sitting on.

A new search revealed that The Flim Flam Man was released on DVD just this month on August 9! I now have a Christmas present for my very hard to buy for brother!

i think some of my favorites movies that dont get recognized alot are movies that they play on abc faily 25 days of christmas and lifetime around christmas time.i think there are alot of moives that come on that people dont look at cuz they are made for tv or only come on tv.on of my favorites is christmas everyday that use to come on abcfaily 25 days of christmas.the only release they have on dvd is one that someone made themselfes that they sell.
